One day not unlike any other, the Greek sun god Helios' son took the reins of his father's chariot, piloting the sun in a celestial journey around the world. As he lost control, freezing and burning the surface, Zeus struck him down, sending young Phaethon crashing down into the Earth. While that story is just a myth, to this day a distant asteroid with the same name continues to circle the sun in our solar system. Each December, pieces of it fall towards Earth in the Geminid Meteor Shower, repeating the myth told long ago again and again. 

Geminid Publishing is an independent Canadian publishing house aimed to tell those stories that fall to us from the stratosphere. With a particular interest in speculative fiction -- fantasy, science fiction, horror, and anything just plain weird -- it hopes to help burgeoning authors find their footing in the indie publishing world and tell the stories that, like young Phaethon and Helios, will stand the test of time.
